GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. The official language of the Coding Olympiad is English, and all exams will be conducted exclusively in English.
  2. The competition is open to all students in grades 1 through 12, depending on the chosen category.
  3. Participation in the Coding Olympiad is individual; no team or school registration is required.
  4. Students with no prior coding experience or training are welcome to participate.
  5. Guidelines and materials provided on the coding platforms are intended for self-learning and to assist students in acquiring coding skills.
  6. Students may participate in multiple categories. Each final exam result will be awarded separately. Each category has its own rules, programming languages, and scoring system:
    - Arena Battles (CodeCombat)
    - Challenges (Codementum)
    - AI Prompt Lab
  7. Programming languages supported:
    - CodeCombat Platform: Python, JavaScript
    - Codementum Platform: Python, JavaScript, or Block Code
    - AI Category: English Text Prompt
  8. Participation requires payment of the exam fee; each category has its own fee structure.
  9. After registration, all students will receive a free membership for their chosen category on the CodeCombat or Codementum platform, valid until 31 July 2026.
  10. All exams are conducted entirely online and do not include multiple-choice or paper-based formats. No alternative exam links will be sent via email.
  11. Exams can only be accessed through the Coding Olympiad Student Panel.
  12. Students must have a reliable internet connection, a device with an active camera (PC, laptop, tablet), and a quiet environment suitable for examination.
  13. The use of calculators, books, printed materials, AI tools, or any unauthorized electronic devices is strictly prohibited.
  14. All students in grades 3–11 who participate in the online exams are eligible for the Grand Finals, which will be held in Orlando, New York, or Rome.
  15. Awards Distribution Based on Online Final Exams:
    - Top 3 in each group: Physical Gold Medal + Hard Copy Certificate + Grand Final Discounts (75%, 50%, 25%)
    - Digital Medals:
      - Top 15% → Gold
      - Next 20% → Silver
      - Next 25% → Bronze
      - Next 20% → Honorable Mention
      - Remaining 20% → Participation
  16. Detailed exam rules and category-specific guidelines will be provided one week prior to the exam date.
