CHALLENGES BY CODEMENTUM
Students in grades 3 to 11 can join the Coding Olympiad by selecting this category.
The
Challenges by Codementum
category supports programming in Block Coding, Python and JavaScript.
This category involves completing 30 coding challenges as part of the exam.
The time limit for each exam is 60 minutes.
The Challenges category offers 3 optional Online Qualification Exam dates. Students may choose to participate in one of the available exams.
Following the Qualification Exams, a single Online Final Exam will be held.
The challenges in the Qualification Exams are the same as or similar to those available in the Codementum Studio. However, the Final Exam consists entirely of brand-new challenges.
The participation fee for this category is 40 €. This fee covers entry to one Qualification Exam and one Final Exam.
Students may choose to participate in the second and third Qualification Exams to further test themselves and enhance their coding skills. The fee for each additional Qualification Exam is 15 €.
Additionally, students participating in this category will receive a free Codementum Premium membership provided by the Coding Olympiad, valid until 31 July 2026.
Evaluation Criteria for Qualification and Final Exams:
- The total score is calculated using 30% of the Qualification exam score and 70% of the Final exam score.
- The ranking is determined based on the total score and the time spent on the Final exam.
- For students who participate in multiple qualification exams, only the highest qualification exam score will be considered in the calculation.
- There is no elimination in the Qualification Exams. Students who miss the exam or score zero may still proceed directly to the Final Exam. For these students, the Qualification Exam score will be counted as zero.
All participants will receive a digital achievement certificate based on their Final Exam results.
Participants are evaluated in 3 separate groups and results are announced accordingly:
> Code Pioneers (Grades 3-4-5)
